History of Surrey Basketball

Surrey Basketball Association has a committee of volunteer officers. They meet on a monthly basis to discuss competitions and courses and also deal with fines and registrations.
The Association incorporates the Senior Surrey League for men and women and the Junior Central Venue Leagues.
At the current Surrey runs :
SENIOR LEAGUE:
Men - 2 divisions - Premier & Division 1
Women - 1 division
SENIOR CUP:
Men - Cup and Plate
Women - played on a tournament basis
The Association organises County training for age groups U13, U14, U15, U17 and senior male and female and teams are entered in the annual Regional Tournament comprising Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
All teams who play on a competitive basis must affiliate to England Basketball through Surrey Basketball, and all players must also licence so they are covered by insurance.
Towards the end of the season, the Association organises a cup final day for all age groups.
The Annual General Meeting is held in June of each year.
